PC&ABS 06 Basic innovative plastics (NS)C2950 111

Characteristics of PC/ABS alloy plastics:

1. Good overall performance, high impact strength, good chemical stability, and good electrical performance.

2. It has high impact resistance, high heat resistance, flame retardancy, reinforcement, transparency, and other levels.

3. Excellent balance in mechanical performance.

4. It also has high impact strength at low temperatures.

5. UV resistance.

6. Wide range of colors.

7. Easy to process through injection molding, extrusion molding, and blow molding.

8. Good electroplating performance.

9. The general density is between 1.05 and 1.20. 

The main products of PC/ABS:  

1. Automotive interior and exterior decoration: dashboard, decorative pillars, instrument front cover, grille, lampshade, handles, and other components.

2. Business equipment casings and built-in components: laptops/desktops, copiers, printers, plotters, displays, mobile phone casings, accessories, and smart cards (SIM cards), etc.

3. Electrical products: camera components, instrument panel, fan cover, safety helmet shell, rotary cover, radiator grille, electronic product shell, meter cover and shell, household switch, plug and socket, cable conduit, lighting equipment, etc.

4. Household appliances: washing machine, hair dryer, coffee pot, internal and external components of microwave.    

The application scope of PC/ABS:   

1. PC/ABS alloy has high impact strength, good rigidity, high hardness, and good toughness, which make it widely used in industry. For example, instrument case, laptop case, etc.

2. PC/ABS alloy has the advantages of being non-toxic, harmless, rust resistant, and corrosion-resistant. This makes it a faucet that does not affect water quality and has the characteristics of health and hygiene, so PC/ABS alloy has become the material for making faucets.

3. The comprehensive performance of PC/SBS alloy is superior, with high impact strength, rigid and tough characteristics, high hot deformation temperature, good thermal stability, and can work for a long time at 120 ℃. It can withstand high temperatures of 140 ℃ in the short term, without thermal expansion or contraction; At the same time, it has good weather resistance, flame retardancy, self immobility, and particularly high dielectric strength. It is an excellent insulator and can be said to be a good fire and electricity resistant material.
